Our Ministry Team

Paul Hunt

I am an ex serviceman having served in the RAF as an engineer for 29 years before training for the priesthood. I am now retired after 19 years in ministry. I am married to Chris.
Note from Griff:
St Benedict’s is so fortunate (Christian’s would say Blessed) to have such a, supportive, knowledgeable, and with a wealth of experience retired minister (Rev Paul Hunt), living in the parish. He actively supports this worshipping community and the various outreach activities that St Benedict’s has throughout the year. To the point that on a communication to the Bishop of Peterborough, I felt it was necessary to write the following, ‘Dear Bishop, our retired minister at St B’s is so helpful, engaging and supportive, it makes me think that when I retire, I want to be like him, a true blessing.’

Paula White (Licensed Lay Minister)

Hello I am Paula and have been a member of St Benedicts church for 8 years. I am a specialist Nurse in the NHS and have worked as a nurse and midwife for 34 years. I am blessed to have the gift of healing and provide pastoral care to many members of our church. This has led me to become a Licensed Lay Minister; this is a recognised and licensed role by the Diocese of Peterborough and the Church of England. It involves 2 years of part time study and training and it means I support the minister and curate with leadership and mission and I joint lead our monthly healing service. I am also a street pastor, which is part of a wider Christian approach to showing the love of Jesus on the streets on a Saturday evening in a team of volunteers. Both of these roles give me joy and encouragement to mission out to others, following the teachings of Jesus and showing his compassion, love and light.

John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.”
